Welcome Back

Something something *it has been 6 years* something something

Well I’m back! My hair is now pink, I work in law, still have the minis, make my own clothes, oh and I’m nearly 30 (ouch).

What have I been up to?

Mostly learning how to sew my own fabulous 50s style dresses and developing a love affair with singer sewing machines from the 1800s. I am also proud to announce that I am engaged to a 50s loving classic car fanatic who even lets me dress him in an array of handmade rockabilly shirts!

What will I be using this for?

I’ve made a resolution to myself this year to actually document and share my sewing and car journey. It is about time I actually start doing something with my passions!

Will I disappear again for another 6 years?

No promises….

Minnie Cooper

Who is Minnie Cooper?

Back in the dreary months of the latter part of 2023, still buzzing from being spotted for Best Dressed at Goodwood Revival, I decided to enter the Queen of the Car Show competition at Viva Vegas.

The only thing standing in my way: needing a Stage Name.

Oh no.

Now, those that know me are fully aware that I love a good spot of British humor and puns, so Minnie Cooper was born!

2018 Update

I do apologies for my absence, but it feels like it is time to return to Vintage Feels and Automobiles.

So, what has happened in the past few years?

To start off with: I am now tonsil free! I finally got my tonsils removed that had been plaguing me for years. I can finally breathe properly again.

Secondly, a new vehicle has been welcomes into the Vintage Feels and Automobiles line up. Val the van is a 1969 morris mini van and joins her brother Fred at shows across the UK.

I am also in my final year of university and facing the daunting deadlines of dissertations. Hopefully that goes well! I am writing about hegemony and examining whether the US is the hegemon and what nations are contenders for the position.

Finally to makeup! My makeup tastes have changed a fair bit in the years; I am still firmly set on the vintage style, but my favourite products have changed. I have kept a few firm favourites, but have discovered a whole new world of makeup goodies. I will give a quick run down of a few favourites with photos below.
